Zoolab Visits Reception
What a great time our Reception classes had at the Zoolab Workshop
The children were able to see and touch a Giant African snail, gecko, grass snake and cockroach and observe a very hairy tarantula in a tank. The workshop followed a story about Ben who was learning to look after his local animal neighbours and how he can help to care for his environment. We learnt lots of interesting facts such as if a gecko loses it tail, it can grow another one, and a cockroach can hold its breath under water for 40 minutes!
