Surrey County Council is the admission authority for school places at The Mead Infant and Nursery School. Nursery Admissions

Admissions to our Nursery are managed by the school and not Surrey County Council. Children are eligible to join our Nursery in the September after their third birthday.

Nursery Admissions Intake for September 2025

Children who are born between 1^st September 2021 and 31^st August 2022 are eligible to join our Nursery in September 2025.

Please download our application form below and return your completed application form either by email to admissions@mead.surrey.sch.uk or to the school office. We will contact you to confirm receipt. The deadline for submitting your application is 24th February 2025.

Nursery Admissions Intake for January 2025

We do not offer a formal January intake. A January intake will only take place if we have been unable to fill all Nursery places in our September 2024 intake. Only children who are born between 1^st September 2021 and 31^st December 2021 will be eligible to apply for this intake and would be with us in our Nursery from January 2025 – July 2026.

If you are interested in a January 2025 place, please ensure your completed September 2025 application form is returned to the school by 15^th October 2024.

In Year Nursery Admissions (September 2024 – July 2025)

Children who are born between 1^st September 2020 and 31^st August 2021 are eligible to apply for this intake.

The application deadline for this intake has now passed. However, you are still welcome to apply as a late application for any remaining places or to be added to our waiting list.

PLEASE NOTE: There is no automatic transfer from Nursery to Reception. Children attending our Nursery must apply to Surrey County Council for a Reception place at the relevant time.

Consultation on Admission Arrangements 2026/2027

In accordance with the requirements set out in the School Admissions Code, The Mead Infant and Nursery School are consulting on its Admission Arrangements for 2026/2027. In line with other schools in the Bourne Education Trust, we are adopting a more standardised policy, as our school aspires to support any child, whatever their needs.
