BET Green Week
At the Mead, we have loved ‘BET Green Week’. It gave us all, children and adults, the opportunity to learn about sustainability, conservation and eco-conscious living.
We took part in ‘Meat Free Monday’. We discussed our favourite meals and looked up recipes for meat free alternatives. On ‘Technology Tuesday’, our school council met with the School Business Manager to discuss our least ‘green’ areas and are running a poster competition to help spread awareness and help us overcome the issues. Lots of us were outside on ‘Wildlife Wednesday’, looking to see how pollinator friendly our location is, planting, making binoculars and bird feeders too! On ‘Thrifty Thursday’ we had a recycling focus and discussed reusing and reducing waste. And on ‘Feel Good Friday’ we dressed in green and celebrated everything we’d learnt!
