Reception become boat designers!
This week in Reception the children have become designers of boats.
They considered what would be waterproof and if it would float. The children drew their designs and wrote a list of things they would need. Using their designs the children then built their boats using a variety of materials including plastic pots, tin foil and bubble wrap. Finally, they were able to test their boats in the water. There was some delight when the boat was waterproof and floated, and some sadness when it sank or the water leaked into it. Some of the children made repairs to their boats to make them better. What great fun we all had!
